The Singing Red Birds

By Yay! Stories

It had been snowing for what felt like weeks.
The town was blanketed in a thick layer of white, and the only sound was the crunch of snow underfoot.

The people of the town were feeling sad and lonely, stuck in their homes with nothing to do.

One day, a young girl looked out her window and saw something strange: a single bird, perched on a branch. The girl was so excited to see something other than snow that she ran outside to get a closer look.

As she got closer, she realized that the bird wasn't alone. There were dozens of them, all huddled together for warmth. The girl felt so happy to see these creatures that she started to sing.

Soon, other people in the town came out of their homes to see what was going on. They were all so surprised and delighted to see the birds that they started singing too.

The birds stayed for the rest of the winter, and the townspeople felt a little less lonely. They would often gather together to sing, and the birds would listen and chirp along.

When spring finally arrived, the birds flew away.

But the townspeople had learned something important: even in the darkest of times, there is always some light to be found.
